The Danish String Quartet has reached incredible heights in the course of its ten years of existence. The quartet was appointed to the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center Two program for the 2013-2014 season and in 2009, the quartet won five prizes in the Eleventh London International String Quartet Competition. In its Houston debut, the quartet performs a work by Denmark’s greatest composer, joins Da Camera's season-long look at the quartets of Haydn, and takes on one of Beethoven’s most powerful late works.
