Danish Rescue Boat Installation Celebration

Holocaust Museum Houston

February 12, 2020
06:30 PM

The 1940's-era "Hanne Frank" was obtained with the help of Consul Anna Holliday in 2008, and transported from Gilleleje to Houston.  This rare Holocaust-era artifact is a reflection of the heroic effort during a three-week period in 1943 when Danish citizens risked their own lives to save more than 7,200 Jews from almost certain execution at the hands of Nazi Germany.
