The Danish Club of Houston in its current form was founded in 1997. The Club organizes various events throughout the season which stretches from August to June, in cooperation with the Danish American Chamber of Commerce SW, Vikingeskolen, and other local Scandinavian organizations. Examples of activities include our annual Christmas party (Julefest), Christmas church service (Julegudstjeneste), Children's Christmas Party (Juletræsfest), Fastelavn (Danish version of Mardi Gras), Midsummer party, soccer matches, and special events centered around cultural happenings.
